Why soft wash
Old timber needs a gentle hand
Old paint stays put
Many Queenslanders have layers of older paint. High pressure can lift and flake it — a soft wash doesn’t.
Timber isn’t gouged
Pressure can furrow weatherboards and force water into joints. Low pressure cleans without damage.
Details come up clean
Fretwork, lattice, balustrades and VJ walls have lots of nooks where mould hides. Soft washing reaches them gently.

Questions
Common questions
Will it strip the paint on my Queenslander?
No. We soft wash at low pressure, so sound paint stays where it is. If paint is already flaking, we’ll point it out before we start.
Can you clean under the house?
Yes — batten screens, stumps and the area underneath can be cleaned too.
Can you clean my iron roof?
Yes. Corrugated iron roofs get a soft wash to remove lichen and streaks without damaging the paint or coating.
